Summer is in full swing here at CMH!

Conditions in the alpine are nearly a month ahead of schedule, meaning there’s already a ton of terrain to hike, climb and explore. Swaths of colour blanket the landscape as the wildflowers burst into bloom, and happy guests are getting out to enjoy it all.

“The snowpack we had this winter melted ahead of schedule, so the conditions in the alpine are about a month ahead of what we typically see,” said Carl Trescher, Director of Mountain Operations, CMH Heli-Skiing & Summer Adventures. “It’s making the hiking all that more incredible right now.”

Summer here is short but spectacular – don’t miss your chance to experience it yourself. Find your ideal trip >

What’s happening at CMH Bugaboos

“The Summer keeps on being summery! We’ve had warm temps of late, around 25-28C, with a nice breeze being found at the ridge top, which has made for near-perfect hiking temperatures. Wildflowers are in full bloom, spoiling us with fantastic vistas. We’ve spotted some mountain goats in the distance, and of course, the marmots are regularly spotted having fun playing hide and seek in the boulder fields

What’s happening at CMH Cariboos

“We’re having a classic Canadian summer here in the Cariboos – temps have been around 20 degrees in the field, which has been ideal for hiking and exploring. The vast majority of snow has melted, meaning we’re flying to all the best terrain during the daytime. Of course, the wildflowers are popping with colour everywhere – lots of Paintbrush – and we’ve had a few wildlife sightings. Summer is just incredible up here”
