Big picture, this exciting change means you get to simply soak in the experience without worrying about keeping track of vertical feet or seeing extra charges on your trip bill.
Just enjoy being out in the mountains and focus on the thrill of skiing and riding.
What’s new
The cost of a heli-skiing trip includes a guaranteed amount of skiing and riding, measured in vertical metres/feet.
Our switch to unlimited vertical means that if you ski or ride more than the amount guaranteed for your trip, there are no extra charges. Any additional runs you have the opportunity to enjoy are free.

Previously, if you exceeded your guaranteed vertical, additional runs were at extra cost and were reflected on your final bill at the end of your stay.
Now, you know exactly what you’re paying upfront, with no surprises on the last day of your trip.
The amount of vertical you’re guaranteed is a predetermined amount we refer to as Vertical Guarantee. It varies based on trip date, type, and length. Here’s a detailed breakdown of how it works.

Even our most customizable trips, the Private and Exclusive programs, will now feature unlimited vertical. That’s right—heli-ski dreams really DO come true. Now, the question is: are you legs ready?

As always, safety, skier ability, and flying and snow conditions are first and foremost what determine pace and decisions in the field at CMH. Our experienced guiding team considers your goals and vertical alongside those factors. We want you to have a great experience; you are here to ski and ride, and our goal is to guide you and safely provide you maximum vertical for the base price of your trip.
The removal of vertical limits actually offers more flexibility in how the day flows. This might mean more seamlessly squeezing in additional runs if conditions are perfect, or taking an extra moment to appreciate a spectacular view without worry. Overall, it’s now logistically easier to live in the moment while out skiing and riding.

Tracking vertical & the Million Foot Club
We will still track your vertical to ensure you reach your Vertical Guarantee. Vertical Guarantee amounts remain unchanged.
The Million Foot Club, which recognizes those who have heli-skied more than one million vertical feet at CMH, remains an important part of our history and guest gratitude. We will continue to track vertical feet skied, and guests can still work towards achieving this milestone. The switch to unlimited vertical may even make it easier for dedicated skiers to reach their million-foot goal, as you can focus on skiing without worrying about additional costs!
This winter and beyond
To celebrate our 60th birthday, we’ve decided to go unlimited NOW. So come ski and ride with us this winter, or next, or the one after that – we’ll be here ready to host you for as many laps as your legs can handle!
