Introducing First Drops, an instructional freeride program launching at CMH Kootenay in winter 2027/28.
Designed for strong black-diamond skiers and riders looking to take their freeride skills further, First Drops pairs hands-on coaching from two ACMG guides and a professional athlete with some of Kootenay’s most playful terrain.
Think tight trees, natural rollers, small-to-medium airs and pillows. Along the way, you’ll sharpen everything from line selection and technique to communication and decision-making, building the confidence to approach consequential freeride terrain.

Twice the guides, more flexibility at CMH Revelstoke

Big news from the home of big mountain skiing.
Starting in winter 2027/28, CMH Revelstoke will move to a two-guide program across all trips, bringing even more flexibility to your days in the mountains.
Building on feedback from guest and the success of our two-guide approach at CMH Cariboos, this change means more personalized support, particularly for groups with different abilities, experience levels and goals.
With another experienced guide in the mix, there’s more room to adapt the day’s experience to suit the group. Whether it’s your first heli-ski trip or your fifteenth, you can settle into your own rhythm and focus on enjoying the skiing and riding.
And with Revelstoke’s legendary tree skiing and sweeping alpine terrain beckoning in every direction, that’s an exciting prospect.
