Perhaps one of the last things you’d expect to see at a wilderness lodge, 60km from anywhere, is a 50ft climbing wall.

Well, when we say that our lodges are built for fun, that’s exactly what we mean! A number of the lodges have full indoor climbing walls or bouldering rooms, such as this one at CMH Bugaboos. Featuring a variety of routes, and not to mention the viewpoints from the different levels, the climbing walls are a surprising feature for many guests!

So if you feel like you still have some energy to expend at the end of a day in the field, summer or winter, you can hit the climbing wall to hone your skills and keep your fitness in check.

For anyone looking to maintain their workout routine while on a trip, the lodges also have gym facilities featuring spin bikes, free weights, rowing machines, medicine balls, elliptical trainers, as well as stretch classes every morning.
